Can you believe a 4th grade student could
read over 4,390 minutes in 1 month?! Well it happened January 2013 when
Josh W. broke a previous record held in 2004 by 5 minutes. Josh reads an average of 3,000 minutes each month. When he started this year as a 4th grade student, he had set his goal on attempting to break one of the reading records held in Mrs. Hahn's classroom. He did just that! He received one free book for each 1,000 minutes he read. That's 4 free books! At the rate he is going I think his parents will need to buy him a new bookcase and he will be breaking Mrs. Hahn's bank account. Congratulations, Josh!
