"Farmers in the Classroom"
On Wednesday, March 20, Farmers Helmut Wagner and Mike Strupp came to visit the 4th grade classes to discuss
Agriculture/Farming with our students. They brought some of the tools they use on the
farm (the smaller tools), samples of animal feed, seeds, and numerous additional items that are essential to
farming. They also emphasized the importance of math, reading and science and the connection these academic areas have in the occupation of
farming. All the fourth graders were so focused and demonstrated their great listening and questioning skills. We found it amazing to hear that
farming is
one of the top 5 most dangerous jobs!
